RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY AT CATALYST
CATALYST is seeking a researcher to join its team, providing health economics evidence to support clients’ business development strategies.
The successful applicant will participate in modelling the impact of diseases and technologies, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, with an emphasis on economic evaluations, burden of illness analyses, chart reviews and generating real world evidence. This will include the use of decision models, Markov models and budget impact models, and performing systematic literature reviews. Candidates should be capable of independently conducting components of research projects with guidance from senior staff. The role also requires a commitment to working in a team environment.
Candidates will be expected to have a deep understanding of the principles of health economics research. A post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline is essential, backed up with sound quantitative skills and experience in conducting economic evaluations or outcomes research. In particular, candidates are required to have some experience in conducting systematic literature reviews as well as cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses. Proficiency in statistical analyses of clinical trial data would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deliver high quality work within timelines is essential. Fluent spoken and excellent written English is mandatory for this position.
Candidates should have advanced skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience of discrete event simulation software and data analysis software (such as SPSS) would be advantageous.
