Research Assistant in performing clinical-effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and quality of life studies

Applications are invited for the post of a research assistant at Catalyst Health Economics Consultants.

CATALYST is an independent health outcomes research consultancy which undertakes research projects on an international basis, particularly in relation to pharmaceuticals and diseases. In particular, CATALYST undertakes clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and quality of life studies as well as clinical audits. More information about CATALYST can be found on this website.

We are now seeking a research assistant to provide support in our clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and quality of life studies. Key responsibilities would include literature reviews, database management, data analysis and interviewing clinicians to obtain information on treatment pathways.

Candidates should have a life science degree together with sound quantitative skills and a good working knowledge of Excel. Some knowledge of medical terminology, diseases and healthcare systems would be advantageous. Experience of statistical analysis would also be advantageous. The post would be ideal for someone with a nursing or pharmacy background who wishes to move into applied research or a recent graduate with some relevant work experience.

The successful candidate would be provided with the necessary support and training to develop the skills and experience needed to perform their duties as a researcher within CATALYST.
